The London to Brighton sponsored cycle ride was cancelled last year due to covid. It is now going ahead this Sunday 19th September 2021. 

Mary's eldest daughter Rebecca, her son Graham and son in law Jon are all taking on the 55 mile cycle challenge. Sadly her youngest daughter Christina lives in Singapore and is unable to make it over but Mary's grandson Harrison is taking her place. 

A huge thank you to all those who have already donated. All the money raised goes towards supporting people struggling with a form of Dementia but also to fund much needed research into Parkinson's disease. Please donate anything you can, every penny makes a difference.

Mary sadly lost her battle with Parkinson's Disease and Dementia on 15th February 2020, just a few weeks short of her 80th Birthday. She also battled with Lewy Body for a time which was very distressing for her and those caring for her. Despite all her suffering Mary remained positive and determined, always polite and respectful. She set an example to us all.

In her prime Mary was strong, independant, energetic and kind, always cheerful with a twinkle in her eye. An excellent tennis player she respresented her county from a young age and later on played for Great Britain. She loved travelling and made many friends on her worldwide trips, she was always the life and soul of any party. Building projects, refurbishing old properties, gardening; they were all other passions, she could turn her hand to most things. She was never afraid of a challenge. She is missed already so much by all her family and friends but she is remembered fondly, always with a smile and a glass in hand! She'll be celebrating with us over that finish line!
